Former Chiefs and Pirates star won’t earn salary at new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker Bongani Ndulula has made a shock return to football.

The towering striker, now 34, has been without a club for seven years! He last turned out for Chippa United back in the 2016/17 campaign.

In a rather surprise turn of events, the former AmaZulu has signed for SAFA Regional League side TUT eMalahleni.

According to the club, ‘Drogba’ has joined them on a ‘voluntary’ basis.

Former Chiefs and Pirates striker joins TUT eMalahleni

“TUT eMalahleni is delighted about the signing of former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Bongani Ndulula as they continue push their aspirations for promotion to ABC Motsepe League next season. ‘Drogba’ has joined TUT eMalahleni on voluntary basis.” a club statement read.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC’s management are reportedly closely monitoring TS Galaxy star Lehlohonolo Mojela.

The 27-year-old winger has been a revelation for Sead Ramovic’s Galaxy this season.

In his maiden season at the club, Mojela has scored four goals while assisting one more in the opening half of the season.

And now, his rich form is reportedly attracting serious attention from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs!

Amakhosi keen on signing Galaxy star Mojela

“It’s unfortunate they could not get him last season when he was still at Casric Stars. They inquired about him even at that time after playing against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup.” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“Kaizer Chiefs started talking to the club but it didn’t go far. They are serious about him.

“Let’s wait and see what Galaxy will say. He hasn’t even spent a full season there but players move in football and anything is possible.”

Mojela is undoubtedly one of the finds of the season. Do you want to see him at Kaizer Chiefs next season? Let us know in the comments section.
