ORLANDO PIRATES’ RELEBOHILE MOFOKENG TO SCORE AGAINST KAIZER CHIEFS?

There’s something different about today’s Soweto derby. The Sea Robbers’ player of the moment is a teenager. Don’t you love it?

Pirates’ Mofokeng only has two goals and three assists in all competitions, but his ability is top-class. The Sharpville-born star has been mesmerising every defender he faces.

The former School of Excellence star spoke to the media this past week. The player known as “Rele” or “Last Born” said he is working on goals.

“I have been practicing this shot (curling the ball) for a while and I’m just glad that I got it right today,” Mofokeng said via the Citizen after scoring for Pirates on Wednesday against Cape Town Spurs.

“I think we should have done better, but a game is a game. So, we just have to be well-prepared for the next game,” Pirates’ Mofokeng added.

SOWETO DERBY MATCH DETAILS

The Premier Soccer League and both clubs have confirmed the final details. The match will kickoff at 15:30 from the FNB Stadium.

Both SABC and DStv will broadcast the match.

Pirates’ Mofokeng, despite his tender age of 19, is expected to start the game. On Chiefs’ side, Wandile Duba, also 19, is likely to start. Duba scored a sublime goal against Golden Arrows on Tuesday.
