Orlando Pirates cruise into Nedbank Cup quarter-finals!

Orlando Pirates are through to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup following their 4-0 hammering of Hungry Lions on Saturday.

The match at Orlando Stadium was expected to be an easy one for the Buccaneers given their pedigree in the competition.

However, they did struggle in the first half, relying on an own goal to go into the break leading by a goal-to-nil.

ORLANDO PIRATES HAMMER HUNGRY LIONS

Pirates found themselves ahead early in the first half after Morena Monaheng scored an own goal in an unfortunate circumstance.

This is the 15th time that Pirates advance to the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup since the first edition in 1971.
